Vocational Training Programs are carried out by the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DEGT) to enrich the expertise/skills of an apprentice under the Skill Development Initiative (SDI). The school drop-outs, students and the personnel working in a casual environment can acquire the coaching related to their fields under the VTPs. As per the regulations of the SDI under DEGT, the VTP centres have been notified to situate & implement the biometric attendance system for VTP for marking & monitoring the clock-in & clock-out time of the trainers/students enrolled for the training/coaching programs.
